Place where Indian Architects are built

If infrastructure is the backbone of any growing economy, then architects are the heart and soul of it. After all, it’s their vision that brings cities to life. Indian economy is booming and the government remains focused on infrastructural growth, which means there is an increasing demand for highly skilled architects. Nestled in the bustling NCR region, The Hindu School of Architecture seems to have picked up the gauntlet of molding future architects, who can live up to the task.

2Initiated by The Sonepat Hindu Educational and Charitable Society, which is steeped in over 100 years of rich history, the HSA, Sonepat offers a five year B. Architecture program that is making waves in the industry. Approved by COA and affiliated to DCRUST, Murthal the program has been creating architects that are ready for global challenges. Top recruiters, 100% placements might be the glowing highlights of the program but what makes it truly unique and special for aspiring architects.

Prof. Dr. Rashmi Ashtt, Director – Principal, HSA has been with the college since 2010. A School of Planning & Architecture alumnus and PhD in Urban Planning under University Grants Commission, Dr. Ashtt has worked on over a hundred projects and like many of her colleagues has valuable industry exposure. She talks about the importance of practical learning for architecture students as she says, “While one can understand basic concepts in the classroom practical exposure helps you apply them in the real world. At HSA we offer practical exposure through field visits and by conducting tours.”

It ensures that the learning from the Smart Classrooms at the institute is built on. The college boasts of infrastructure that is on par with International standards. Its reputed and experienced faculty team use new age teaching pedagogy to boost students’ learning experience. The studio program has four faculty members, which means one faculty member for 8 students. It enables them to pay individual attention to students’ requirements so that they can keep pace with the rest, and the overall learning experience.

HSA’s strategic location in the thriving NCR region has its own inherent advantages. It helps the college attract faculty members from SPA Delhi while keeping students in close contact with top recruiters as well. Prof. Dr. Ashtt emphasizes on the contribution of the esteemed faculty members. “Deliberations by senior faculty members from high profile organizations bring valuable inputs for the program. We have guest lectures from experts from universities all over the world and it gives our students a global perspective,” she says.
